I am really beginning to take a deeper look at your work, Stephen. As I transition from being a newspaper shooter (layoff/retirement) to something more personal, I have also sold my DSLR gear for lighter, simpler gear. The biggest difference is I do not currently plan to have any ultrawide or long telephoto lenses. Plans are for a 35mm (Fuji X100S) and a 50mm (Fuji X-E1 w/35mm 1.4). No more 12-24mm or 80-200mm or longer lenses. The one thing this does is affect the way I have been “seeing” for decades as an editorial/newspaper photographer. Besides the fact that I love the Monochrom and the way its images look, your way of “seeing” is what interest me. I compare your work to the work of Cartier-Breeson, Doisneau, Ronis, and the like. Thanks for being here and sharing your work.
Thanks Rich. I’m not in that league though.
The little Fuji is superb. I got one for my son and with the 35 on it shoots like a 50. Good luck!
